  1. Fabulous post, Komal! I love when there are links to explore. Congrats on being halfway through your revisions - it won't be long now. Do you have a cover yet? I can't wait to see it.
Social networking can be a bear. I enjoy it - reading everyone's accomplishments for the week, funny stories - all of it. But it can take up too much time if I'm not careful. Finding that balance can be difficult. Facebook is my downfall. I hardly ever go on because I get 'sucked-in'...I start reading all these posts by all these writers....pretty soon, I've lost an hour! Ha.

    1. I agree! I lose so much time visiting other blogs, but it's one of my favourite things to do so I allocate time for myself without feeling guilty.

I don't have a cover yet, but I'm looking into it. I'm tossing up on whether or not to query agents at the moment. Maybe I will try a few just to see if I get any requests. There are also a few indie publishing houses I want to query first.

    1. Haha! I hope you enjoy the links!

It's so nerve-wracking sharing my story with someone else but I know I'll get some great advice from the experience.

  4. Last year was the year for gowns on covers, I'm guessing this year is the year for hair.

Nice to find your blog through Morgan. Thanks for the comment on my site.

And you are absolutely right, rewrites are HARD.

    1. Thanks for stopping by and saying hi, Sarah. I expect some very elaborate hairdos this year.

Writing queries is hard, but I'm learning so much from it.

  6. What an awesome prize you won! I'm a little jealous..

I just have this image of you in front of your computer scratching you head and pulling your hair a bit. It's horrible, but I just imagine you hard at work.

    Now focus and write!

  7. I love that cover for STARLING!
Are there going to be three PLEDGE novels? The first cover had all black clothing, this one has red, so I'm just wondering what the colour would be for a third novel. All white maybe?

    1. I love the cover of The Pledge and I'm so glad there's a uniformity between the first two books. I'm not sure if there's a third one, but a white theme sounds like a great idea!
